According to reports, the core AI industry in Guangdong has surpassed 100 billion yuan in scale during the first five months of this year, maintaining its position in the first echelon in China. The production of industrial robots and service robots reached 124,700 units and 4.17 million units, respectively, marking year-on-year increases of 33% and 8.2%. Industrial robot output accounted for more than 40% of the national total, securing the top spot in the country for five consecutive years.
Qu Xiaojie, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, stated that the province has currently established 11 provincial-level AI industrial parks. Guangzhou and Shenzhen have successively been approved as national AI innovation application pilot zones. Other cities such as Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan and Zhongshan have also focused on key links in the industrial chain, developing specialized parks in fields such as intelligent unmanned systems, intelligent robots, smart homes, smart healthcare, and intelligent security.
"We will concentrate our efforts on advancing robotics technology, and the 'Action Plan for Key Links of Embodied Intelligent Robot in Guangdong' is set to be officially issued and implemented soon," Qu said. Guangdong aims to tackle four critical areas in embodied intelligent robots: core infrastructure, key products, public support, and typical applications. Leveraging the province's profound industrial foundation, complete industrial chain, rich application scenarios, and strong market demand, Guangdong is poised to become a global innovation hub for embodied intelligent robots.
今年前五月广东人工智能核心产业规模超1000亿元
据了解，今年1-5月，全省人工智能核心产业规模超1000亿元，稳居全国第一梯队；工业机器人、服务机器人产量分别达12.47万套、416.98万套，同比增长33%与8.2%，工业机器人产量占全国比重超过4成、连续5年位居全国第一。
广东省工业和信息化厅副厅长曲晓杰表示，全省目前已布局建设11个省级人工智能产业园，广州、深圳先后获批国家级人工智能创新应用先导区。珠海、佛山、惠州、东莞、中山等围绕产业链关键环节布局相关专项，在智能无人系统、智能机器人、智能家居、智慧医疗、智能安防等领域建设一批产业园区。
“我们将集聚力量积极推动机器人技术攻坚，即将印发实施《广东省具身智能机器人关键环节攻坚方案》。”曲晓杰表示，广东聚焦具身智能机器人核心基础、重点产品、公共支撑、典型应用4个重点环节攻坚需求，充分发挥广东产业根基深厚、产业链完整、应用场景丰富、市场需求旺盛等优势，打造全球具身智能机器人产业创新高地。
